With Pinterest’s soaring traffic, entrepreneurs might find it difficult to resist tapping into the social media site’s audience of potential customers. But how can you make Pinterest work for your business?
Among the many users on Pinterest, magazine publishers boast some of the most vibrant boards and engaged users. “Pinterest, whose primary audience at the moment appears to be younger women with interests in fashion, lifestyle, home, design, health and food, is a perfect platform for caterers, wedding professionals, and designers whose focus is to capture their target audience with photos. It is important to be prepared so that when the opportunity presents itself you can respond quickly. We’ll talk about a Media/Press Kit and what should be included. We’ll discuss things you can do to position yourself as an expert for the media. You’ll learn who to contact at a television station/network. You’ll learn about ” pitches” and “hooks” and how to craft them. We’ll talk about how you can be a good tv show guest and radio guest. You’ll receive a hand out with lot’s of sources for finding media attention and perfecting your own publicity.
